Clinical Project Manager

Manages MIPS Quality Payment Program initiative collecting clinical and billing performance data for Emergency Medicine (EM) care under Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) rule. Participation in this CMS program is mandatory and it enables participants to adjust Medicare payments up or down or remain the same depending on level of participation. This project utilized American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) Clinical Emergency Data Registry (CEDR) solution to ensure HIPPA compliance. The CERD registry enables emergency physicians to review their practice patterns and outcomes and compare it with their peers.

  • Collection of Electronic Medical Records (EMR), HL7, scanned images and paper acquired medical and billing records into Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and abstraction platform for all service lines.
  • Manage third party vendors to complete off-shore data abstraction of 13M records in 2017.
  • Implement necessary hardware and data lines to enable utilization of GE Extracting Task Manager (ETM) to prepare data for upload to CEDR for analysis and to CMS by Compliance date.
